NOAH Parents,
I hope the 2011-12 school year is going well for everyone. Whether you are wrapping up, in the middle of, or preparing for your season We pray that this season is the most God glorifying NOAH season ever!
The NOAH Board would like to invite any parents interested to attend this months board meeting which will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 7:30pm at Tulsa Hills Church, located at  840 W 81st St., Tulsa, OK 74132 (map)
The topic the NOAH board requests your input on is.....DEFINING NOAH ELIGIBILITY.
With the landscape of homeschooling broadening all around us, it is imperative that we prayerfully set the course for the near future of NOAH athletics regarding some foundational questions. As players, parents, coaches, Athletic Directors and Board Members we are all being ask on an increasing basis "Who can play for NOAH?", "How do we define Homeschooling?" "Who does NOAH serve?" even........"What is the purpose of NOAH?"
Homeschool organizations across the country are working through the same issues. Decisions on how to define homeschooling for eligibility purposes are varied, ranging from a simple question being ask of each family such as "Do you homeschool 51% of the time?" to a more detailed look at how, when and where a family educates are being used to determine eligibility. As you all know there are many more homeschooling options today for a family to consider then when NOAH was formed a dozen years ago. We all have kids involved in or families coming to us with questions regarding NOAH eligibility of student athletes that are being educated from home via online courses in both public, private and charter programs, some part time others full time. The same is to be said regarding Tutorial Centers and Co-Ops. The trend around us seems to be only broadening so the need for us to set the course is at a all time high.
If you are interested in attending, please mark your calendars, make arrangements and come with your thoughts ready to be expressed on Tuesday, October 25th at 7:30pm  on Tuesday, October 25th at 7:30pm at Tulsa Hills Church, located at  840 W 81st St., Tulsa, OK 74132 (map). NOAH Volleyball Finishes High in National Competition
The Jaguar volleyball squads lived up to their highest expectations last weekend, with the varsity making the elite list in the Quarter Finals of 6A championship competition. Four pools were drawn up for seeding purposes early in the 4-day event. NOAH performed well enough to be selected to the championship bracket. Their only loss in pool play was to eventual national champion, Crossroads Crusaders of Chicago.
Head Coach Eddie Redden and daughter, Sophie
The 6A Championship bracket draw was not friendly to NOAH; pitting the Jaguars girls against the #1 ranked perennial powerhouse,  Parker-Tarrant Warriors of Ft. Worth.
The JV squad placed 2nd in 3A competition, while the Junior High squad placed 2nd in 5A (6th over all in JH).
While NOAH's varsity did eventually place 7th, they matched their pretournament national rankings per CBS Sports' MaxPreps Freeman Rankings.
More significantly, NOAH Volleyball is among the top 1/3 of all teams (public & private) in both Oklahoma and the nation at large. In just 4 years Athletic Director Raeann Heath and the dedicated coaching & volunteer staff have led a great group of girls to very significant accomplishments.

NOAH Football Webcasting Live Coverage of Varsity

NOAH has recently unveiled a live network of varsity action for football fans.

After extensive several months of securing and testing the needed resources, NOAH now provides live coverage of out-of-town games, via www.NOAHjags.org

The network seeks to link into local broadband where accessable, When that is not available, the fall back is on a mobile phone 3G connection. Occasionally the crew is left with no more than a primitive EDGE data connection.

"Broadband allows us to stream a live picture and play-by-play; said David Van, Public Relations director for NOAH Football. "3G limits us to a 'radio broadcast' & less than that, and we resort to text and Twitter updates."

Jerome Davis, calling the action at Bethany
Jerome Davis, of the football operations, serves as the voice of the Jaguars. David Van adds color commentary and production for the network

Join us this Thursday as we travel to McAlester to take on top ranked 5A powerhouse. Vancraft Professional Services underwrites the production expenses, making this a free service to the NOAH community.
