Lets continue to keep this heart of compassion as a way of life and demonstrate the life of the Greater One who lives in us and through us. The NOAH community exists because we bring together the gifts God has given each of us. Those gifts were meant to be shared and appreciated. A special thanks to all who have done something special this past week to help us all. Whether it be a death, illness, displacement or other tribulation, may God give us all wisdom and compassion to assist those who suffer. |

Memorial and Funeral details
Pastor Joe Blankenship:
"Malcolm Andrews was a graduate of Tulsa Memorial High School and played football one year at NEO A&M (I think 1990). He was a volunteer youth coach for several years for the Tulsa Bulldogs and other teams and began coaching with NOAH this past year. I have known him for a couple of years and watched his life change as he began to follow the Lord Jesus. I was very excited to have him as a coach and role model for our young men. He became a close friend of mine and he will be deeply missed."
Coach Joe Blankenship
Funeral will be Tuesday, October 19th at Dyer Memorial Chapel 1610 E Apache St
Tulsa, OK 74106-4022
There is an account set up at Bank Of Oklahoma for tax deductible gifts through One Hope Ministries Malcolm Andrews Memorial Fund to help cover funeral costs and living expenses for the Andrews family (wife and 5 children ages 17, 11, 8, 6, 3) during this transition time.

NOAH Football Remembers a departed leader this week.
NOAH football has had a very tough week.
We are enduring under the weight of a sudden loss of a coach, father, and friend.
Asst. Coach for defensive line, Malcolm Andrews died Monday from an infection that spread quickly throughout his body; particularly his lungs.
He mentioned at last Thursday night’s game that he thought his back had a pulled muscle.
On Friday he sought relief at a minor emergency clinic and was prescribed a muscle relaxant.
On Sunday he was taken to the OSU medical center, in Tulsa, where the infection was identified.
He faced a struggle for several hours and was revived 4 times.
On Monday afternoon he was pronounced dead.
Last August we suffered the death of our equipment specialist, Mark Roberts, in a traffic accident.
Both men were dedicated leaders and fathers of NOAH football players.
Both men were of limited financial resources and their families face difficult struggles.

A Memorial fund is set up at Bank Of Oklahoma for Malcolm Andrews. It is tax deductible.
The family needs assistance to cover very basic funeral expenses and they are resolved to see God bring them through this overwhelming and painful time. NOAH’s leadership is asking our friends and supporters to ask the Lord what he’d have them do, to assist this young family’s needs. Malcolm leaves behind a wife and five children. The Andrews family attends Springs Of Grace Church. They homeschool their children and Malcolm has coached football for most of the past ten years. The eldest son, Darius, has played on NOAH teams for the past five years.
Funeral arrangements are planned for next Tuesday.
NOAH will fulfill their commitment to Newcastle at this Friday’s game.
The team will be wearing commemorative emblems on their helmets as they suit up for the game. The Newcastle leadership will have a time of reflection for Coach Andrews prior to the game. NOAH will provide a webcast of the game at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/noah-football-2010 .

NOAH Football uis preparing for a postseason National Homeschool Football Championship Series, next month. Homeschool football does not currently have a complete tournament to determine a legitimate national champion. The nature of the game requires games to have a week of preparation. NOAH is beginning to take a leadership position in bringing together the 4 top-ranked teams together over 2 weekends, to determine a clear national champion. Currently the only system available is a national rankings system the CBS Sports developed for their MaxPreps.com web service. NOAH has been the clear leader in the rankings over the past 3 years. Currently the top teams are: # Team Nat.Rank 1 NOAH ( OK) 3872 2 Maryland Chr. (MD) 6989 3 Col. Crusaders (OH) 7378 4 Airborne FC (NC) 7542 5 N. Georgia (GA) 7699 6 GA. Force (GA) 8165 7 CAR. Our website now teams up with a system of blogs for each sport. Coaches and Athletic Directors now have greater tools for keeping the homeschool community informed and involved.Several teams also use a telephone "message line to give daily team instructions. All families are now directed to subscribe to the blogs of the teams they are following, so effective communication gets to everyone promptly. Look up your NOAH team on twitter, if you wish to be notified via text message. NOAH reposts many details to the Facebook community. You can also be a part of the process by sharing photos and connecting with homeschoolers in creative networking circles. NOAH is also testing systems for webcasting distant events providing correspondent tools to keep Jaguar fans informed of team events. |
