NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
Tulsa’s NOAH Jaguars have captured the title of National Champions of Homeschool Football.
The Jaguars were cited as the strongest homeschool team in America’s most in-depth computer rankings system, The Freeman Scoring; used by CBS Sportsline’s MaxPreps.com to formulate a rating for each of it’s 16,000 registered prep football teams.
Of the Homeschool teams in 11-man football, Tulsa was followed by Kansas City’s Christ Prep who landed as a distant second place. Tulsa easily defeated Christ Prep in mid October.
NOAH’s 7-3 record includes competitions with public, private, and homeschool teams. The NOAH Jaguars also defeated the #8 and #9 ranked teams, Springfield Lighthouse Christian and Dallas HSAA.
This is The Jaguars’ 3rd year at the top of homeschool football. NOAH has never lost to another homeschool football team in 4 years of varsity competition. Published Freeman rankings of homeschool teams lists the top ten as: 1 Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool (Tulsa, OK) 2 Christ Prep Academy (Kansas City, KS) 3 Carolina Pride (Charlotte, NC) 4 Columbus Crusaders (Columbus, OH) 5 North Georgia (Canton, GA) 6 Maryland Christian (Bel Air, MD) 7 Central Virginia HomeSchool (Richmond, VA) 8 Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, MO) 9 Dallas HSAA North (Plano, TX) 10 AFC Rangers (Charlotte, NC) Homeschool football has grown to 46 teams in the past 10 years.
