National Basketball Extra

  The NOAH basketball teams are in the midst of a very exciting finally in their 2009-10 season. The Springfield event is building up championship drama.

  The #8 Varsity Girls have remained unbeaten, defeating the North Houston(unranked) and Cincinnati(#12) opponents. They are in the quarterfinal bracket, which resumes on Thursday. They are only 3 games away from a national crown.

  The Varsity Boys are 1-1. They entered the tourney ranked #23. The initial loss to #13 North Houston was followed up by an impressive upset of the #15 Ft. Worth team. On Thursday they resume quarterfinal play against other teams who only lost one game.

  Tulsa NOAH also has teams competing in 14& under boys & girls; and 12 & under boys(3) & girls; 10 & under boys & girls.. The tournament has not posted results in those brackets, as of this posting.

  The 14& under girls lost to Lake Houston.

  The three 12& under boys teams lost to Illinois, College Station, and SW Mo.

  The 12& under girls lost to SW Mo.

  The 10& under boys beat Team USA-Red.

  The 10& under girls beat Nashville.

  1. Tulsa NOAH girls varsity now plays in a very elite field of eight.
    They play the #4 team next(Memphis), followed by the #2 in the semi's(Houston), and the #1 team(Ft. Worth) will probably await in the National Championship game.
    The 10&under NOAH boys and girls also both won again on Wednesday!
