NOAH Events: Sept 26 - Oct 2

Volleyball Having Big Year
NOAH Volleyball is carrying great momentum into the final segment of the Fall season. The Jaguar Varsity Girls have won their last 6 matches by a combined score of 18-2. This week the girls have a big event on Saturday, NOAH takes part in a 3-way tourney with the defending OCSAA champions, Regent Prep, along with the combined homeschool powerhouse of Oklahoma City Storm/Norman Mustangs.
Norman's roster shortfall did not allow them to fill a complete team this year, so they joined forces with an already-formidable Okla. City Storm team.
The "Storman" varsity squad is one of only 2 teams who've defeated the young Jaguar team. Last week NOAH overcame a huge hurdle, finally defeating an always-tough Metro Christian team, who'd defeated the NOAH girls earlier in the season.
The time & locations of this Saturday's competitions are posted on the Calendar. Regent will host the varsity event at Jenks East Intermediate 3933 E 91st St, Tulsa

Jaguar Football Playing In The 'Big League'
The NOAH varsity squad is honored to be on the schedules of the top teams in Oklahoma and the nation. Last Friday, NOAH traveled to Dallas to play the #6 team in the nation, DeSoto, High School.  While the score was not favorable, the team learned much and the players are growing  from every experience. Coach Blankenship tells the boys; "You have to play good teams to challenge yourselves to get better".  NOAH has the most difficult schedule in all of Oklahoma prep football.
This Friday, NOAH hosts the #1 and current 3A champion, Heritage Hall. Many may know the team's most recognizable running back, Barry Sanders Jr., but the Chargers are very talented at so many positions.  Expect statewide media outlets to be covering the game. Jaguar Football is inviting The NOAH Basketball & Volleyball squads as our honored guests.

NOAH FCA Huddles are back
This past Thursday was the first FCA meeting of the 2011-2012 school year.  Many students from several homeschool sports and other groups were in attendance. This non-denominational campus ministry is an essential part of the NOAH purpose and focus. The gathering is open to all teens in NOAH families and their guests. Whether you're currently in a sport or not, we welcome you to these monthly meetings.
The itinerary usually includes games, snacks, music, scripture, and a relevant message. President Fred Sabatini oversees the programs, along with a volunteer team. Cornerstone Tutorial Center is supporting FCA and has graciously opened their auditorium for these FCA Huddles.
Watch the calendar and invite your friends and family to the next Huddle.
